How long have you been scrapping?
About 10 years . . . it all started at a Creative Memories party!
If you were stranded on a desert island with only scissors, glue and photos, what other 3 scrapping items would you need to make your tropical “vacation” complete?
I definitely would need my Making Memories cutter, Basic Grey papers, and some BLING!!
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
My sister paid me $5 to eat the skinny red pepper that was in our Chinese food!! What a dumb idea that was . . . I should have asked for $20 . . . what I ended up asking for was a couple of glasses of milk!!
What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you?
It was the fall of the very first year teaching 3rd graders. I had quite a rambunctious group of boys and we were studying insects. A couple of kiddos had collected some praying mantises in a jar during recess and they were sitting out on the table for everyone to watch. In the middle of the lesson, a student piped up and asked what they were doing all excitedly. I looked and they were doing the wild monkey dance . . . I was 22 years old and this was not something that my professors had prepared me for!! So I politely put up some folders to give the insects their much needed privacy, and told the kids that they were doing something that their parents would have to talk to them about!!
What is your favourite band or musician?
My all-time favourite band is most definitely PEARL JAM . . . I love Eddie Vedder!! But I’m not opposed to listening to a mix of whatever . . . but I tend to shy away from country!
What is your dream job?
My dream job would be to teach half time at an arts based school and then spend the other half of the day designing for a scrap company!
How do you feel about joining The Studio Design Team?
I am over the moon excited about joining The Studio Design Team!! I was so impressed with the first challenge . . . I can’t wait to participate in and hand out more!!
I chose Andrea because of her artistic style, original designs and those super-sweet and photogenic kiddies!
