I have *never* had to make such a difficult decision in my life! I have, after many hours of deliberation, chosen the ladies who will be joining our DT for the next 6 months! I had to put all my feelings aside and just look at everything objectively. Thank you to everyone who applied. There were so many beautiful entries, honestly I could have filled the DT 3 times!

So, do you want to meet one of them? I will be revealing one lady every day for a week, just for fun!

So first up is Tessa Buys! I am honoured to already work alongside Tessa at Sketchy Thursdays, and I know already that she will make a great team member, is committed and creates inspiring layouts!

As well as keeping herself busy with scrapbooking, she runs a cute Etsy shop, Precocious Paper. If you’re not already familiar with it, go check it out! Disclaimer: I will not be held responsible for you spending too much money there! I also gave the new ladies our Studio DT questionnaire so we can get to know them. Here’s what Tessa had to say:

 How long have you been scrapping?
About 12 years

If you were stranded on a desert island with only scissors, glue and photos, what other 3 scrapping items would you  need to make your tropical “vacation” complete?
That’s hard… flower embellishments, paint, and paper (can I have both patterned paper and cardstock?).

 What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
I’m really a safe and boring person J.  I’d have to say moonwalking in a Michael Jackson impersonator contest.  Even though I was the only girl to enter, I won!

 What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you?
As a professional dancer I was in a rehearsal prior to a big show, during which the media was in attendance.  It was the first time we were practicing in costume, and during one particular movement on the floor, I slid backwards but my pants didn’t come with me.  Even though I kept dancing and tried not to let my embarrassment show, I’m sure all the reporters behind me noticed!  Luckily, a photograph of the incident did not appear in the press J.

What is your favourite band or musician?
I love U2.  Their music touches my soul, and when I see them live, I shiver with excitement.  They are simply amazing.

What is your dream job?
In my dreams I do everything I am blessed to do now: be a stay-at-home mom, teach dance and perform, and scrapbook – except there are no sick or misbehaving children, my house is magically clean, and there seems to be 36 hours in every day.

How do you feel about joining The Studio Design Team?
I’m thrilled to be a part of The Studio Design Team! I am most excited about connecting with the talented scrapbook artists from all over the world that I find here.  I can’t wait to get to know the community better and to share my passion for scrapbooking!
