Last but not least!
The final new addition to The Studio DT is Rebekah Brumby!
Welcome to the team, Rebekah! This is one of the pages she entered to the DT call:
And here are the answers she gave to our questionnaire!
Name: Rebekah Brumby
Location: Woodley, Berkshire, UK
How long have you been scrapping?
I’ve been scrapping for about 10 years but only in the traditional sense for the last three years since my Son was born. For the first 18 months he was all I scrapped about but as I’ve found my feet I scrap more and more diverse things, including road markings that amused me and plates of food!
If you were stranded on a desert island with only scissors, glue and photos, what other 3 scrapping items would you need to make your tropical “vacation” complete?
This is a hard one. I’m going to assume that the glue is glossy accents as I absolutely can’t do without the stuff. But that still leaves me with a whole scrap room of goodies to choose between. I think it would have to be my box of Prima goodies (flowers, say it in pearls/crystals, lace that sort of thing), my bag of rub ons (can’t get enough of the things, especially daisyds) and stickers (October afternoon are my favourites), and a skinny 12×12 box of patterned paper (sassafras are my favourites right now) and cardstock. I know that’s probably cheating, but I love layers on my LOs and use rub ons, lace and stickers to achieve that so it would have to be boxes of the stuff.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
Good question! I’m not all that adventurous it has to be said so I wouldn’t contemplate jumping out of a plane, or off a bridge attached to a rope it has to be said. Ummmm, I’ll have to come back to you on that one…
What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you?
At the risk of sounding really boring (I’m not, honest!), I have no idea how to answer this question. I’m not easily embarrassed (which is just as well since I teach biology to teenagers and get all sorts of questions during certain topics!). The only thing I can think of was when I was at school. I liked a guy and was telling my friend all about it, only to turn around and find him standing right there. Can’t imagine why that’s stuck in my mind. Anyway, with a three year old learning social skills I’m sure that I will have many an embarrassing moment coming my way when he says things that he shouldn’t whilst standing in a queue somewhere.
What is your favourite band or musician?
I like songs, rather than people really but if I had to be tied down, I’d say that Nora Jones is one of my favourites.
What is your dream job?
I would love to be a virus hunter for the CDC (centre for disease control)
How do you feel about joining The Studio Design Team?
I am very excited about it, and can’t wait to get started. I’m looking forward to getting to work on challenges and seeing all the readers’ work. I’m hoping it’ll keep me on my toes and those creative juices flowing!
Join us tomorrow for the final January challenge!

Your layout is adorable! Working with layers is something I hope to do more of, so I’m really looking forward to being inspired by your work!
Thanks Tessa. I hope I can help you with that
Great layout, is it made on a record? Very clever! Excited to work with you and the rest of the team.
