The Studio is a  place packed with inspiration, fortnightly challenges, prizes and, most importantly, fun! The blog is based around scrapbooking but if you’re a card maker, ATC mad or an Altering Goddess then I welcome you with open arms. Feel free to adapt the challenges to what makes you tick.

The philosophy behind The Studio is really to have inspiring challenges that people of all abilities will find challenging and fun, and we encourage scrappers to take an idea and push the limits.

My hope is that people will open up The Studio blog and be inspired by what we make of the challenges. We aim to bring a fresh approach to challenges that are simple. Being inventive with what we have is the big thing! Encouraging people to try new things and play – some people get stuck thinking they have to do things a certain way, I hope we can put the FUN and PLAYING back into scrapbooking!

Some scrappers have trouble with being ok with their own style. I hope that we can encourage people to think “It’s ok if I just want to use a piece of card and a photo” or also if it suits them, to think “if I glue everything I own to this page and I love it, that’s what matters”. It’s about making the challenges suit you, and taking them where you want to go!

When putting together this part of my website, I wanted to make sure it appealed to everyone. So for each fortnightly challenge you will see a collection of sample projects in 3 categories: beginner, intermediate and advanced. I will also be posting a tutorial each month for the beginner level project. Hopefully that will encourage some of you lurkers (yes, I know you’re there!) to take that first step into the fabulous, but oh-so-addictive, hobby we like to call scrapbooking!
